Welcome to the 9th Annual Shleimus HaAetz Conference 2023

honoring the Lubavitcher Rebbe's Yom Hilula (the day of passing)

Gimmel Tammuz

The Lubavitcher Rebbe devoted countless hours to speaking and writing about the security of Jews living in the Land of Israel, emphasizing that Shleimus HaAretz  - preserving Israel's terriitorial integrity - is the key to ensuring their safety and bringing true peace to Israel, the region and the rest of the world.

Our keynote speaker, Rabbi Shlomo Teichtel, gave a fascinating presentation about his renown grandfather, an Ohev Yisrael, HaRav Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal, ztz"l, HY"D.  For a brief synopsis about him, scroll below.

The program was delighted to have Shmuel Sackett join us for a terrific ten minute talk - Putting the Rebbe's Words into Action!

Jeff Daube, our special guest speaker is a font of information and activism.  Jeff spoke beautifully about what Shleimus HaAretz means to him and his decades of working on behalf of the Jewish People and Israel.

Jeff Daube is the Co-Director for the Legal Grounds Project at Regavim. HIs efforts helped secure the Jerusalem Birthplace Act and the Us-Israel Energy Cooperation Act. Jeff is active in working to obtain justice and closure for the Roth family, whose daughter Malki was murdered by Ahlam al-Tamimi in the 2001 Sbarro Pizza Shop bombing.

As many learned, Chana Nachenberg, also an American citizen, who was catastrophically wounded in the terror attack and in a coma ever since, passed away at age 52 on June 9, 2023, 20 Sivan 5783, HY"D.

Projects closest to his heart are the Lone Soldier Center in Yerushalayim, the International Committee for Har HaZeitim and the Legal Grounds Law course he gives at Regavim.  To learn more about Jeff's work on Har HaZeitim - www.harhazeisim.org or email him at jdaubeisrael@gmail.com

HaRav Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal, ztz"l, HY"D

HaRav Teichtal was a renown Talmid Chacham, Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshiva in pre-war Czechoslovakia.

Born in 1885 in Hungary into a family of illustrious lineage, Rav Teichtal was an exceptionally bright child, first studying under his father’s tutelage and later under some of the greatest Torah minds in Hungary, Poland and Lithuania.

In 1921, Rav Teichtal took up the position of Av Beis Din in Piestany, Czechoslovakia and over the next twenty years founded the elite Moriah Yeshiva.

A prolific writer, HaRav Teichtal authored numerous articles in Torah journals and corresponded with Gedolim across Central and Eastern Europe. His masterwork of Halacha responsa, Mishneh Sachir,, was published in 1924.

With the onslaught of Hitler and his Nazi henchmen, YM”SH, Rav Teichtal and his family escaped deportation, fleeing from one place to another, eventually finding temporary refuge in Budapest in 1943.

The calamity of the Holocaust led HaRav Teichtal to seek explanations for it. With keen insight, phenomenal scholarship and a beautiful literary style, HaRav Teichtal wrote Eim HaBanim Semeicha, a comprehensive work in which he re-examines his views on the modern-day return to Eretz Yisrael.

Drawing from a wide array of Torah sources and historical references, HaRav Teichtal’s book is a beacon of holy instruction for these times as we go from Golus to Geula in the Torah-true way.
